With the earnest desire to cater to the little audience, Vraj:bhoomi has joined hands with Silaiwali to put together a small range of dolls. Our natural dyed textiles on the individually handcrafted dolls make them suitable for the delicate touch of our little patrons. Made from the scrap fabric of our garment production these dolls are also eco-friendly and make for a great cuddle companion.
Silaiwali is a social enterprise in New Delhi which up-cycles waste fabric generated from apparel scraps to create handcrafted decorations by Afghan woman refugees in India. Their products are eco-friendly, support sustainable incomes that help in building communities of artisans.
Silaiwali has been helping the women refugees who fled Afghanistan during the years of Afghanistan – Taliban conflict. They have been training and employing these women as inhouse artisans ever since the organization began; in alliance with UNHCR. And we at Vraj:bhoomi are delighted to be a part of this lovely cause.
